Frequently Asked Questions
Choosing to pursue therapy can often be a source of significant stress. Feeling a bit anxious before your initial therapy appointment is completely natural. The first step is connecting with us. You will be contacted shortly after by the admin to set up an appointment, but if it turns out that equine-assisted therapy, walking therapy or virtual therapy isn't the right choice for you, we will make every effort to direct you to a more fitting alternative. Once your appointment is booked, your first session will begin with reviewing your consent forms, discussing what more you can expect from your therapist and the horse, and answering any questions you may have. The initial meeting aims to enhance your ease with both the horse and your therapist. The primary focus of our work is on your aspirations, passions, and motivations for pursuing therapy.

Walking therapy is weather dependent, typically available for booking from mid-late May. The sessions will continue until the temperature drops to -10 degrees, which usually happens in late October or early November. This time frame ensures a comfortable and safe environment for both the therapist and the client.
